Creating a Monitor

You can create both Performance and Availability Monitors to monitor your traffic.

A service can have multiple Monitors. Each Monitor tests a single URL from hundreds of locations around the world.

Monitors check performance and availability across all CDN providers configured for the service and from all monitoring locations, regardless of the Traffic Policies currently defined.

You can then view the monitoring results over time.

To create a Monitor for your service:

1. Navigate to your service.
2. In the sidebar, select Monitors.
3. Click the Add Monitor button.
4. Complete the new Monitor form:

• Type – Select the type of Monitor: Availability or Performance.
• Name – Enter the Monitor name.
• URL – Enter the URL you want to monitor. The URL must match one of the Domains configured for the service. For example:
  • https://www.example.com
  • https://www.example.com/api/health

5. Click Save.

Once created, the new Monitor will appear in the list of Monitors.

You can then navigate to the Availability or Performance tab to view the monitoring results.
