Live streaming and Facebook contest – The Shopping Night Barcelona Case Study
The Shopping Night Barcelona is an annual event hosted on Barcelona’s emblematic Passeig de Gràcia. Top fashion stores, Gaudi buildings and luxury hotels set the stage for a night of shopping and events until the early morning hours. Together with The Shopping Night Barcelona, Flumotion, CTL Comunciació and Easypromos created a unique experience that allowed online and offline fans to become part of the event.
This new concept combined a live streaming of the VIP Photo Call and Party, with a contest in Facebook, where fans could win exclusive VIP tickets and one night in the Chic & Basic hotel. The contest was created with Easypromos’ Premium Facebook
application, while CTL Comunicació was in charge of the audiovisual production and Flumotion’s Online Video Platform powered the live streaming.
The campaign started a few hours before the actual event and 300 fans entered the competition. The prize was presented to the winner, on the red carpet, in front of the live cameras. This combination of live streaming and Facebook promotion, creates excitement before and during the event. This promotes engagement and sharing, which brings the event to a larger audience.
