# Updating & Deleting an Origin

#### Updating an Origin

You can edit any Origin you have previously created.

> **Note:** If traffic is currently being routed to the Origin, any changes you make will affect that traffic.

To update an Origin:

1. Navigate to your service.
2. In the sidebar, under **Origin Management**, select **Origins**.
3. Identify the Origin you want to update and click the **Edit** icon.
4. Update the Origin configuration as required.
5. Click **Save** to apply your changes.

#### Deleting an Origin

You can delete an Origin only if traffic is no longer being routed to it. Before deleting an Origin, you must first remove it from all associated Domain Mappings.

To delete an Origin:

1. Navigate to your service.
2. In the sidebar, under **Origin Management**, select **Origins**.
3. Identify the Origin you want to delete and click the **Delete** icon.
