# Getting Started Steps

[Sign in](https://manage.ioriver.io/login) to your **Flumotion Smart Multi CDN** account and follow the instructions below to set up your account.

### Step 1: Create a Certificate

You first need to create a certificate for your domain. This certificate will be used later when creating your first service. Follow the steps [here](https://www.flumotion.com/docs/multiCDN/creating-a-certificate/) to create your first certificate.

### Step 2: Add your CDN Accounts

In this step, you will add your CDN accounts. **Flumotion Smart Multi CDN** manages your CDN accounts via APIs. Therefore, you will need to provide the credentials required to access your CDN providers via API.

To add a CDN provider to your account, follow the steps described [here](https://www.flumotion.com/docs/multiCDN/add-a-cdn-provider-to-your-account/).

### Step 3: Create your first Flumotion Smart Multi CDN Service

You are about to create your first **Flumotion Smart Multi CDN** service. A service in Flumotion Smart Multi CDN represents a portion of your traffic. As part of creating the service, you will also add the CDN accounts from the previous step to your service.

Follow the steps described [here](https://www.flumotion.com/docs/multiCDN/steps-for-creating-a-service/) to create your first service.

### Step 4: Set Up the Default Traffic Policy

In this step, you will decide how to distribute your traffic between the CDN providers. You should start by [configuring the default traffic policy](https://www.flumotion.com/docs/multiCDN/configuring-the-default-traffic-policy/), and you can then continue by creating additional policies.

To create a traffic policy, follow the steps described [here](https://www.flumotion.com/docs/multiCDN/creating-a-traffic-policy/).

### Step 5: Direct Traffic to your Service

Once you have finished configuring your service, you can direct your end-user traffic to it. To do so, you should set up a CNAME record for your domain using the CNAME of your service.

Follow the steps described [here](https://www.flumotion.com/docs/multiCDN/configuring-dns/) to configure your DNS.

Congratulations! You have successfully completed this tutorial and created your first **Flumotion Smart Multi CDN** service.
