Description

The International Basketball Federation, more commonly known by the French acronym FIBA, is an association of national organizations which governs international competition in basketball. FIBA Europe is a zone within the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) which includes all 49 national European basketball federations.

Project

  • Offer all EuroLeague Women games online through a new password protected VoD platform, only 24 hours after each game.
  • Increase competitiveness among players with the use of an online video platform that enables in-depth game preparation. The new video service enables all 24 teams across 12 countries to analyze performance of their own as well as competing players shortly after each game.
  • Upload and manage on demand video content through a content management system that is intuitive and easy to use, so each team can upload and share recorded games themselves.
  • A flexible online video solution that is modular and supports the future addition of new features and services.

Why Flumotion?

Flumotion's Online Video Platform provides a user friendly Media BackOffice that enables clients to easily upload and publish video content. Advanced streaming features such as Visual Seeking allow viewers to find the relevant part of each video faster, facilitating easier analysis of the team’s players as well as competing teams. NTT Europe and Flumotion have a proven track record when delivering content for major sports events and organizations around the world.

“We are already considering an extension of our new on demand video platform and this was one of the reasons we selected Flumotion and NTT Europe to power it. They provide a flexible solution and are already working with other major sports organizations. The flexibility of Flumotion’s streaming technology was an important criteria when selecting our new streaming provider; we want to have the option to easily integrate additional features after the initial launch of the service.”
