The Flumotion development team have released a new version of Flumotion’s open source streaming server (0.8.0) entitled ‘7 Portes’. This new release sees the support of VP8 and WebM, the new codec and container released by Google last May as open source.
Also, 0.8.0 includes video effect support such as de-interlacing and the generic decoder (allowing you to take an incoming encoded stream, decode it, and re-encode it to different formats).
