NTT Europe & Flumotion Develop Online Video Platform for FIBA Europe

Flumotion's Online Video Platform is used to stream EuroLeague Women’s Basketball games

Together with our partner NTT Europe, we have just launched an online video platform for FIBA Europe. The new video service enables timely game analyses of EuroLeague basketball games for tactical and optimal game preparation. The video on demand platform is available to all 24 FIBA member teams in 12 different countries. From the beginning of this season, which started this week (October 27 2010), all EuroLeague Women games were made available online through the new VoD platform, only 24 hours after each game.

Fresh from the Open Video Conference in New York, Flumotion CTO, Thomas Vander Stichele is attending and speaking at both Content Delivery Summit Europe and Streaming Media Europe in London.

The Content Delivery Summit is a one-day conference that takes place on 13 October and brings together content owners, infrastructure providers, and the financial community to discuss the business and technology of delivering video online. Thomas session at the Content Delivery Summit entitled ‘Application Trends: Next-Generation Content Delivery Services’ will take place on 13 October at 2:55pm. The discussion which includes panlists from Microsoft and Adobe covers the changing applications and services offered and supported by CDNs today, and those that will be supported tomorrow.
