Jameson Notodofilmfest powered by Flumotion’s User Generated Content features

Jameson Notodofilmfest is an online Film Festival, founded in 2001, by La Fábrica. In the past decade more than 9,000 films, from 38 countries, have been submitted. It has become an online launch platform for young creators and has attracted an audience of 20 million viewers.

La Fábrica has selected Flumotion’s Online Video Platform to reduce the workflow and to efficiently manage all video assets. The participants of the contest upload their videos via a simple form directly into Flumotion’s Media BackOffice. The Project Manager can now review each video and publish it in the appropriate channel. The Flumotion player can be customized with a few clicks and its social sharing options assure the optimal promotion of each video.

Flumotion has developed these functionalities to allow marketers to easily create and promote campaigns based on User Generated Content. Viewers from around the globe can watch the content in multiple qualities and on any device. Thanks to the Flumotion Advertising Module different types of ad formats can be ingested into each video. The easy to use APIs enable La Fábrica to seamlessly integrate the management of video assets into their existing systems and workflow.

Flumotion, Facebook and Google named among the top companies in Online Video in 2012

Industry leading Streaming Media Magazine compiled their annual list of the top 101 companies. The selection process consists of a list of more than 220 companies that is presented to the publication’s editorial and publishing staff, asking them to rank each one on a scale of 1 (has no business being on such a prestigious list) to 5 (absolutely must be on the list). The final list — the 101 companies that ranked highest — comprises 63 companies that are either based in Europe or have their roots there. The remaining companies are mostly U.S.-based, but they have a strong market presence in Europe.

At Flumotion, we are very proud to be part of that list again and to share the space with heavyweights such as Adobe, Apple, Facebook and Google. To review the entire list, visit the Streaming Media’s website.

This is Flumotion’s 7th award from Streaming Media in the past 4 years. To learn more about the other 6 awards, follow this link.

Live streaming and Facebook contest – The Shopping Night Barcelona Case Study

The Shopping Night Barcelona. An annual event hosted on Barcelona’s emblematic Passeig de Gràcia. Top fashion stores, Gaudi buildings and luxury hotels set the stage for a night of shopping and events until the early morning hours. Together with The Shopping Night Barcelona, Flumotion, CTL Comunciació and Easypromos created a unique experience that allowed online and offline fans to become part of the event.

This new concept combined a live streaming of the VIP Photo Call and Party, with a contest in Facebook, where fans could win exclusive VIP tickets and one night in the Chic & Basic hotel. The contest was created with Easypromos’ Premium Facebook
application, while CTL Comunicació was in charge of the audiovisual production and Flumotion’s Online Video Platform powered the live streaming.

The campaign started a few hours before the actual event and 300 fans entered the competition. The prize was presented to the winner, on the red carpet, in front of the live cameras. This combination of live streaming and Facebook promotion, creates excitement before and during the event. This promotes engagement and sharing, which brings the event to a larger audience.
