We have updated our GUADEC 2010 page where you can now download the conference on demand. On the page you will find direct links to .webm video files that are ordered according to room and time – a supported media player such as VLC is needed in order to view the video files.

The GUADEC conference live streaming powered by Flumotion was officially the first event worldwide streamed live using the new open WebM format. Two weeks ago Flumotion made online history with the first ever live streaming of an event using the new WebM video format. Only a few hours after the first WebM streams were live from GUADEC, Streaming Media announced our nomination for the Best Live Webcast of 2010 at this year’s European Readers’ Choice Awards in London.

Within 48 hours of the WebM release the development team at Flumotion were able to integrate the new format into its multi-format streaming technology and to create the first live WebM streaming worldwide. Then only 8 weeks later, Flumotion streamed the first event worldwide live using the new media file format released by Google last May.
